Quabbin communities balk at open-ended water draw proposal

Quabbin Watershed community members repeatedly asked those questions during a four-hour hearing Wednesday, urging the state Water Resources Commission to reject a Massachusetts Water Resources Authority proposal to withdraw an additional 20 million gallons of water per day from the Quabbin and Wachusett system.
