The Supreme Court has sought responses from the RBI and NPCI on a petition challenging the 0.4% MDR on select UPI merchant transactions above Rs2,000. The court declined to stay the October 15 implementation. The petitioner has raised concerns over transparency, statutory safeguards, merchant impact and possible consumer burden
